Among these emergent leaders is RedNote, known as Xiaohongshu in its native listing, which clinched the No. 1 spot in the U.S. App Store last week. This was followed closely by other video-centric applications such as Clapper and Flip. Despite TikTok’s service resumption, RedNote maintained its top position, having attracted approximately 700,000 new users from the U.S.

The temporary ban also sparked a rush towards VPN applications as users attempted to bypass restrictions. This led to dramatic climbs in app rankings for VPN – Super Unlimited Proxy and Nord VPN among others.
