PDQ: Revolutionizing E-commerce with Personalized Solutions
In a bid to carve out a niche in the e-commerce landscape dominated by giants like Amazon, PrettyDamnQuick (PDQ) has secured $25 million in Series A funding. This New York-based startup, founded in 2020, offers innovative technology that empowers retailers to tailor and experiment with their shipping and checkout processes. With 200 clients and 30 million monthly orders translating to $4 billion in gross merchandise value, PDQ aims to scale up to 300 million orders by 2025.
The e-commerce sector has been under scrutiny as it adjusts post-COVID-19 boom, grappling with challenges like inflation and economic uncertainty. Despite mixed results from recent holiday seasons, PDQ’s solutions offer hope by enabling retailers to provide attractive discounts without sacrificing margins.
“PDQ is addressing a classic challenge for independent e-commerce retailers: the need for a robust tech layer while maintaining brand independence,” explains Avi Moskowitz, PDQ’s CEO and founder.

Moskowitz’s inspiration for PDQ stems from his experience running BeerBazaar, a craft brewing business in Israel. The venture’s unexpected online success during the pandemic highlighted the absence of an Amazon-like experience for customers. Determined to bridge this gap, Moskowitz developed a platform offering predictable shipping information and cost-saving offers.
- PDQ currently integrates with Shopify-built online stores
- Plans to expand compatibility with other platforms
- Offers personalized checkout experiences for every shopper
- Facilitates integration with major carriers like USPS, DHL, FedEx, and UPS
While competitors exist in this fragmented market, PDQ stands out by offering a comprehensive approach that manages the entire customer journey from entry to delivery. The startup’s new funding round was led by Peakspan Capital, with support from TLV Partners and Moneta.
PDQ’s growth strategy aligns with the increasing demand for customized e-commerce experiences. By focusing on personalization and seamless integration with existing systems, PDQ positions itself as a key player in redefining how online retailers operate.
