Nvidia Unveils the Powerful RTX Blackwell GPU Lineup at CES 2025
In an eagerly awaited announcement, Nvidia kicked off its CES 2025 keynote by revealing the brand-new RTX Blackwell family of GPUs. At the heart of this lineup is the impressive RTX 5090, which may look similar to its predecessor but packs some serious upgrades under the hood. This powerhouse boasts a staggering 92 billion transistors, 4,000 AT TOPS, 380 ray-tracing TFLOPS, and an impressive 1.8 TB/s bandwidth.
The real-time demos presented during the keynote highlighted the RTX 5090’s ability to deliver jaw-dropping graphics with intricate textures and comprehensive ray tracing capabilities. Nvidia claims that this top-tier GPU can outperform the previous RTX 4090 by as much as twice.
- RTX 5090: $2,000
- RTX 8050: $999
- RTX 5070 Ti: $749
- RTX 5070: $549
There are laptops equipped with the RTX 5070 that cost significantly less than a standalone RTX 5090. For those eyeing a laptop featuring the premium Blackwell GPU, prices start just under $3,000.
“Blackwell, the engine of AI, has arrived for PC gamers, developers and creatives,” stated CEO Jensen Huang. “Fusing AI-driven neural rendering and ray tracing, Blackwell is the most significant computer graphics innovation since we introduced programmable shading 25 years ago.”

Laptops featuring the RTX 5090, 5080, and 5070 Ti will hit stores in March, with RTX 5070 laptops following in April. Prominent brands such as Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, MSI, and Razer are all set to roll out notebooks powered by these GPUs.
After navigating years of supply chain challenges and surging AI demand, Nvidia is determined to stay ahead in manufacturing this time around. As Huang poignantly noted during the keynote, “We used GeForce to enable AI,” he remarked, “and now AI is revolutionizing GeForce.”
