Flying Flea: Revving Up the Future of Connected Two-Wheelers

Meet Flying Flea, the newest player in the electric two-wheeler market that’s taking connectivity to new heights. At CES 2025, this innovative brand unveiled its ambitious plans to incorporate Qualcomm’s advanced Snapdragon technology into its upcoming motorcycles. Imagine a world where your bike isn’t just a ride, but a partner equipped with voice assistance, smartphone keys, and customizable ride modes.

Introduced by Indian motorcycle giant Royal Enfield in November 2024, Flying Flea is already making waves, even before their bikes hit the road. Their vision? To bring the kind of connected features we’ve come to expect in cars to the world of two-wheelers. As Nimish Shrivastava from Qualcomm puts it:

“Connected services are fundamentally transforming the two-wheeler and micromobility markets, providing riders with real-time diagnostics, advanced navigation, and personalized ride settings — all of which enhance the safety and convenience of their journey.”

Flying Flea isn’t alone in this race. Verge Motorcycles from Finland is also showcasing its cutting-edge bikes at CES 2025. They’re loaded with intelligent features like ride modes, over-the-air updates, and GPS capabilities. Think Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity that make staying connected on-the-go a breeze.

  • Zero Motorcycles

These names are also paving the way for high-tech two-wheelers on our streets.

Flying Flea is gearing up to launch its first models in early 2026: the FF-C6 with its classic charm and the rugged FF-S6. Both will harness Qualcomm’s Snapdragon QWM2290 system-on-a-chip (SoC) and Car-to-Cloud platform. This SoC was tailored specifically for two-wheelers in 2023, integrating multiple functions like infotainment and navigation into one powerful chip.

The possibilities are vast—imagine getting low battery alerts with nearby charging station suggestions or receiving real-time navigation assistance. Safety features might notify you if you’re pushing speed limits. All these are made possible by Flying Flea’s core vehicle control unit operating on this SoC.

With Snapdragon Car-to-Cloud, communication between rider and machine reaches new levels, both on and off-road. You’ll have access to voice controls, tailored ride modes for any terrain, and the convenience of using your smartphone as a key.

The future of motorcycling is here, promising a safer, more connected riding experience.
